The tutor explains the use of Excel’s built-in function to calculate the number of work days between two dates.

Excel’s networkdays() function is located in the Formulas tab by clicking the Date & Time icon. It calculates the number of office days between two dates, inclusive.

Example: How many work days are there from May 3 to May 17, 2016?

Solution:

In a cell or the formula bar, type

=networkdays(date(2016,05,03), date(2016,05,17))

When you press Enter, you hopefully receive the result 11. Counting the days (Mon-Fri) May 03 to May 17, 2016, we see that, indeed, there are 11 work days.
