Geography, food: Coconuts from Mexico
Self-tutoring about food: the tutor wonders about a possible association between coconuts and Mexico.
I always hear about coconut in connection with Hawaiin or with Thai cuisine. The other day, someone mentioned a Mexican food recipe that calls for coconuts. Someone else commented that they’d never heard of coconuts implicated in Mexican cuisine. I hadn’t heard of it, either, but wondered why not: coconuts are tropical, and so is Mexico.
It turns out that Mexico does indeed produce coconuts.
