Exercise and fitness: targeting visceral fat with hiit?
Self-tutoring about exercise and weight loss: the tutor mentions an idea about hiit.
Visceral fat, it seems, is known to be bad. On a low-fat vegan diet, I’ve lost about 11 pounds, but the visceral fat seems stubborn. How might one target visceral fat for reduction?
It turns out, perhaps, that high intensity interval training (hiit) may effectively target visceral fat, especially if one keeps the heart rate below 90% of safe maximum. Simply put, hiit means alternating 30 seconds to a minute at relatively high exertion with about the same duration at a relaxed pace. A warm-up would be done before, then a cool-down after.
