Autos: diy mechanics: changing the thermostat

Self-tutoring about diy mechanics: the tutor mentions a job he did.

Our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan’s engine light came on. I plugged in the diagnostic computer and it turned out it was referencing the thermostat.

I recall, back in the 70s, we had a car that needed its thermostat replaced. Therefore, I know this is a thing. Looking up the part online, I realized it’s not that expensive. Naturally I planned to do it myself.

When possible, I look up You Wrench for guidance on the 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan. Thankfully they have a video about changing one’s thermostat.

The job seems to have turned out alright. My wife helped, as usual: she has better instincts with mechanical issues. Her father was a millwright, after all.
