Business: Canada and the USA: coffee exports

Self-tutoring about the coffee business in Canada and the US: the tutor continues, this time about exports.

In my previous post, I compare coffee importation of Canada and the US. Now, to exports, which is perhaps more interesting.

Canada exports $727 million worth of coffee, while the US exports $1.1 billion. Canada’s GDP is $2.2 trillion; the US, $24.3 trillion. Therefore, for Canada, coffee exports are worth about 0.033% of its GDP, while, for the US, its coffee exports are worth about 0.0045% of its GDP. Coffee exports are about seven times as important to Canada’s economy as to that of the US.

All these figures are for 2022.
