Canadian economy: agriculture: fantastic Kings County, Nova Scotia

Self-tutoring about farming in Canada: the tutor mentions a place he once lived.

Kings County, Nova Scotia, contains the villages of Kingston and Greenwood. The county is part of the Annapolis Valley region.

Living there, one can’t help but notice farms and farming: produce stands and u-picks, for instance, are about. However, I didn’t realize the county’s agricultural might while I was there: it leads Nova Scotia in farm production, accounting for 38% of the province’s agricultural output, or $274M, in 2021. Its population that same year was just under 63K.

Impressive, eh?
