Cooking: six-year-old rub for chicken legs

Self-tutoring about cooking: the tutor gets to some unfinished business.

Back in my post of June 20, 2018, I mention a rub for chicken legs that I prepared.

That day, I used most of the rub; the leftover portion I put in a baggie, sealed up, and tossed in the freezer. Yet, from time to time, I’ve thought about it: would I ever get around to using the rest?

Two days ago my wife had brought home some drumsticks that needed to be cooked. I thought of the rub: was it still in the freezer? Could I find it again? Indeed: within a minute I had the baggie in my hand. I laid the drumsticks out on a roast pan, brushed them with olive oil, then spread the rest of the rub over them.

The rub was still alive, apparently: the drumsticks turned out great. I was glad to finally use the rest of that rub, since it was an experiment that happened to turn out really well, those six years ago:)
