Self-tutoring about geography and business: the tutor mentions a video he saw.

I saw a video on YouTube, by CityGlobeTour, about the 20 countries who exported the most oil, 1970-2021. It’s a five minute video, with the countries changing places as their oil export rankings change. Saudi Arabia is usually at the top, but not always; the Soviet Union is in 1986-87. Iran is in second place for at least two durations. UK is in third place for a while, as is Mexico. Norway reaches second place in the mid 90s.

Believe it or not, the US reaches fourth place, right behind Iraq, in 2021.

It’s fascinating, to me, how much oil some countries export yet aren’t known for it.
