Web browsers: Mozilla Firefox: saved password removal

I use Lubuntu Linux, which comes with Firefox, which I’ve always liked.

Firefox tends to ask me if I want to save the password when I log in somewhere. I always click “No,” but yesterday, in a hurry, I absentmindedly clicked “Yes.” What to do?

I decided to delete the save password because I’m afraid, if it autofills, I’ll soon forget it. So I followed the directions here and clicked Remove.

Next, I went to the site whose password had been saved: it no longer was.
