Windows 10: latest update
Self-tutoring about Windows 10: the tutor observes….
I’ve a discount Windows 10 laptop from about three years back.
This morning it prompted me something like “your version of Windows 10 will soon be outdated…restart to update now?” The other choices were “later” or “tonight”. I chose to do so immediately, so pressed Restart.
I don’t know exactly, but I suspect the update took between 3.5 and 5 hours. Like I say, this laptop’s clunky, probably made from leftover parts, so maybe not so fast as yours. However, if I’d needed to do work with it this morning, I would’ve been thwarted.
Another observation: the %complete it reports during the process isn’t necessarily accurate. In my case, at 3 hours in it said 27% done; two hours later it had already finished.
I’ve opened it since the update and it seems zippy enough. Over time, that computer has definitely improved. Such can be the way with Windows:)
