Handyman role: gutter cleaning: timing
Self-tutoring about gutter cleaning: the tutor mentions timing.
Cleaning the gutters yesterday and today, I found water in them. Often, they’re dry when I clean them. However, I’ve noticed an important difference, perhaps, between the two situations.
When the gutters have dried, it seems, yellowjackets might nest in them. They become potentially hazardous to the gutter cleaner.
However, with water still in the gutters, it seems the yellowjackets have kept away from them.
Over the years I’ve typically thought it best to wait until the gutters dried out to clean them. However, I’ve come to appreciate the idea of cleaning them while water remains within them.
